Winter Getaway // My Break From Technology

Almost a week ago today, I was sitting by the campsite appreciating the beauty of nature around me. I miss the smell of the outback burnt wood and the ocean breeze. I miss waking up to the sound of waves crashing on the shore line every morning. Having a break from technology is so important while on holidays. This lets you focus on your surroundings and appreciate the time you have with others and yourself.

Nowadays technology is closer to us than ever, and it's hard to shut off and relax. Turning off my iPhone was the best way for me to relax and enjoy life surroundings. I've noticed almost everyone forgets to look up and appreciate the beauty of the world. Instead, they have their heads glued down to their phone. We live in a life where we forget how to live in the moment. My current job and my passion for blogging are surrounded by this and don't get me wrong, I do love what I do.

The new generation constantly has technology thrown in their faces. What has happened to us? We let the new generation depend on technology 24/7. Now, I am not telling you how to parent. Don't you miss the days where we would go ride our bikes, go fishing, hang out with our friends and play in the backyard?

When I was a kid, I could spend hours entertaining myself in the backyard and explore. Instead, I've found myself once again to be lazy. I have no energy, all I want to do is get up and go on social media for the day or play a game or two. After my little get away, I've realised there is so much more to life than being stuck inside or on my iPhone. I am not getting the most out of my day. I want to get out and try to see more of nature.

I really had enjoyed my time away and spending quality time with loved ones, I hope this post may inspire you to turn off the phone for the day and enjoy life above the keyboard.

Here are few pictures below of my holiday. What are some of your favourite activities to do while camping or on holidays?
